The Catholic Workout is for everyone: male, female, young and old. Everybody has the ability to strengthen their bodies and every Catholic should be well versed in reciting the Rosary. The Catholic Workout integrates the praying of the Rosary with dumbbell exercises allowing you to build your body and to focus your mind on Christ.

The Catholic Workout meets all Christians at the foot of the cross. Catholics and other Christian communities may disagree on matters of doctrine and theological interpretations, but as Christians, we all agree that God became man, walked the earth, was crucified and after three days rose from the dead.

In a nutshell, Christian unity is founded in our love, belief and desire for Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Since The Catholic Workout helps you build your body and your faith by meditating on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, if you are not Catholic, you can choose to pray your favourite Christian prayers and/or offer personal intentions as you perform the five specific exercises of the workout. Since the Lord taught us the Our Father Prayer, you can choose to pray the Our Father during the prayerful pause in the workout.

At the end of the day, it is all about meeting Jesus at the foot of the cross and witnessing the event that has forever changed, shaped and revolutionized the world. By focusing on Christ’s Passion and using our body as an expression of our love, we are better able to listen, embrace and ultimately live in the love of God the Father.

"Nothing can substitute prayer, reflection or meditation to improve our connection to God and unless we remain physically active to some degree, nothing will strengthen and nurture our bodies for a sustained period of time. We have to exercise and we have to pray. That’s just the way it is!"
